The scientific results of ECOPORT 8 on the basis of the new project TEN ECOPORT - Benchmarking seminar at the Port of Bar, Montenegro, from 28 February to 1 March 2013

The first benchmarking seminar of the european project TEN ECOPORT will be held in Montenegro, at the headquarters of the Port Authority of Bar, next Friday, March 1st, 2013.

This seminar will be the first key-link between the previous project ECOPORT 8 (concluded in June 2012) and the new TEN ECOPORT officially presented on December 7th, 2012, in Bari (Italy). The most important scientific findings on environmental monitoring carried out in the ports of Bari (Italy), Bar (Montenegro), Bourgas (Bulgaria) and Durres (Albania), obtained from the implementation of ECOPORT 8, will be capitalized under the activity entitled "from ECOPORT 8 to TEN ECOPORT".

The benchmarking seminar will establish the dialogue between the ports already participated in the project Ecoport 8 with those joining for the first time the partnership via TEN ECOPORT and will help identify the critical environmental issues on which ports will undertake to define common protocols and initiate an operational program aimed at achieving effective environmental improvement.

The works of the benchmarking seminar will be chaired by the Port of Bar and the Politecnico di Bari.
